Paintings, Lithographs, and Engravings
|
In addition to Japanese woodblocks, Barclay's also carries a range of fine quality nineteenth century European and American lithographs and engravings. Because the printing technologies of the day did not allow for consistent color, many of these prints were meticulously hand painted with watercolors. Additionally, we have added contemporary Chinese watercolors. Each print or painting is archivally mounted with acid-free mats and backing. They make wonderful and unique additions for home or office, and add charm singly or in groupings. We currently have works by the artists listed below. Additional prints from these and additional artists can be found in the gallery. Artists found only in the gallery include engravers such as Felix Edward Guerin-Meneville, Shaw and Nodder, William Daniell, Jean Gabriel Pretre; and matted, unframed Japanese woodblock prints.
